Thanks to all the great volunteers who turned out for November’s Saturday Morning Stewardship day at Stanley Marsh-Thompson Creek! Thousands of willow whips and alder trees were planted, which will someday provide ample food for the many beavers who are helping to restore the wetland habitat at one of our favorite properties.

Saturday Morning Stewardship days help NCLC achieve some of the crucial work that needs to be done on lands that we hold in conservation. Be sure to check out our schedule for upcoming Stewardship Days in 2012, there are many opportunities to get out on the land and make a difference on the North Oregon Coast!

I look forward to the willow Gus planted to become a big willow shrub !
