An evening with Environmental Artist Colleen Flanigan

Artist Colleen Flanigan leads us on an underwater adventure as she describes the challenges facing reefs from pollution, warming waters, and physical destruction. Through underwater sculpture, Flanigan bridges efforts by artists and scientists to save corals. Through performance art, and in the person of Amphirite, goddess of the sea, Flanigan provokes dialogue about the state of the ocean and its creatures. Flanigan will also bring the conversation home by looking at how North Coast mussels can benefit from habitat restoration.
